FAQS, DISCLOSURES, AND CONTRACT
Please read through this page before you submit payment for your order.
By paying your invoice you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
Due to the recent coronavirus outbreak, the following measures have been put in place for the safety of my customers and my family:
-In the event that the state of Idaho moves to a shut down, or my children's school shuts down, I will temporarily close my doors until it is deemed safe to reopen by the state.
-In the event that I come in contact with any single person that has COVID-19 or is suspected of COVID-19, we will close our doors and self quarantine until we feel that it is safe to reopen. In the event that this happens, we will also notify any customers who have have been in contact with us in the last 14 days as soon as possible that we may have been exposed.
-All orders that have to be cancelled by me will be refunded immediately.
-If you need to cancel your order because of COVID-19, you can cancel up to 1 week prior to your order date. If it is less than one week's notice, and I have already mixed dough for your order, I will continue forward and bake your order, arrange a pickup/delivery, and have you freeze your cookies for a later date.

CUSTOM ORDER DESIGNS AND PRICING
Custom orders start at $40/dozen for basic designs. Elaborate designs start at $50/dozen. All cookies are priced based on design.
I do my best to create original work that has artistry and originality. For this reason I avoid copying exact designs of other cookie artists, and doing copyrighted character themes. If you send inspiration pictures, I ask that you also provide the original creator of the cookies so I can properly give credit if I post pictures.
If there is a change in the design originally discussed on your invoice, I will need 2 weeks notice, or a partial rush fee will be added to your order.
MINIMUM ORDER REQUIREMENTS
My minimum order is 1 dozen. I specialize in small batch orders and prefer to bake between 1-6 dozen per week.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I SUBMIT AN ORDER REQUEST?
I take on limited orders every week, therefore I book out quickly. I AM CURRENTLY BOOKED THROUGH DECEMBER 2020. Any order that I take on with less than 14 days notice will be charged a $10/dozen rush fee. Please check my schedule before submitting an order request.
HOW MANY DESIGNS? HOW MANY FLAVORS?
I specialize in creating “sets”. This means that I only create a few designs per dozen. For 1 dozen orders there can be up to 3 designs. For larger orders the amount of designs will be determined during the ordering process.
There is a 2 dozen minimum for specialty flavors besides vanilla bean.
More designs and flavors in smaller orders are available at a surcharge.
DO YOU DELIVER? WHERE DO I PICKUP?
For custom orders I ask that you pick up your order at my home in West Boise. Currently, the only way I can accommodate multiple orders per week, is by having pickups exclusively on Fridays and Saturdays. If you have an order with me, the date we discuss will be your pickup date, and I will contact you 1-3 days before pickup to arrange a pickup time. ***Please make arrangements in your schedule to pick up your order for the date you request your order to be due. If you need a different pickup date than the one listed on your invoice, I cannot guarantee that I will have availability for your new date.*** If a meet up or delivery is requested a $20 fee will need to be paid before I can bring your order to you.
Please make note that I reside and work in Boise, ID. As of July 1, 2019 I will not be taking any new custom orders that need to be shipped for the foreseeable future. If you know someone in the Boise area that can pick up your order and ship it to you, I would be happy to coordinate pick up with them.
For ALL custom orders, payment is due one week before your pickup date. This is the only way I can guarantee that I am paid for my work. All payment is done through Square invoicing. I do not accept payment via Venmo, PayPal, or any other payment system besides Square invoicing.
All custom orders for November and December will require a $20 non-refundable deposit to hold your date.
For pre-orders, payment is due when ordering through my Square Store.
All cookies are made with a vanilla bean sugar cookie, and egg white royal icing unless otherwise noted.
No refunds are issued for custom orders. If you are not satisfied with your order, please reach out to me so I can make it better. If you do not pick up your order, it will be forfeited, and no refund will be given.
Darling Cookie Co. is not liable for any damages or breakage once the order has been picked up, shipped, or left our home bakery location.
Allergens include: EGGS, WHEAT, DAIRY, and NUTS
I am currently not accepting orders that are allergen-free.
COTTAGE FOOD LICENSE
Cookies are made in-home under Idaho’s cottage food law. My cottage food license is up to date, and I follow safe food handling guidelines.
